Dog Walking at the Halswell Quarry

Kennedys Bush Rd, Kennedys Bush – Cashmere Road Carpark is beside the off-leash dog area

Halswell Quarry is an amazing spot for the whole family and features an off-leash doggy exercise area. The area is unfenced so dogs must remain under control at all times but may be allowed off-leash. The area has many beautiful trails that overlook the city where doggies can be walked on-leash.

For human family members there are many beautiful gardens and parks to explore. The highlights are six sister city gardens (Adelaide (South Australia), Christchurch (England), Gansu Province (China), Kurashiki (Japan), Seattle (USA), and Songpa-Gu (Seoul, Korea) and a Canterbury botanical collection.

There is a family friendly walk called the Crater Rim Walk which can be accessed by buggy. Dogs must be kept on a leash.
