Would you like to spend your days caring for cats and small animals in their own home?

About the position:

The position involves visiting client’s residences to manage their pet’s regular routine and ensure the safety and security of the premises while they travel. This is a contractor position so you have the flexibility to fit visits around your current lifestyle.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing food and changing water for pets
  • Spending time providing all the love, care and attention pets are accustomed to
  • Taking outstanding photos of daily interactions
  • Checking security of the premises and arming and disarming alarms
  • Putting out and bringing in wheelie bins
  • Watering plants and gardens
  • Making the home look ‘lived in’ by turning lights on and off, bringing in mail, opening and closing blinds etc.
  • Cleaning litter boxes

Would you like to have mini-holidays away from home caring for pets?

About the position:

The position involves residing at client’s homes to manage their pet’s regular routine and ensure the safety and security of the premises. As we are looking for people who can commit to spending the majority of their time living in client’s homes with their pets, this would suit people who work from home, those who work or study part time or retirees. This is a contractor position so you have the flexibility to fit pet sitting assignments around your current lifestyle.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Spending the majority of your time in the home with the pets
  • Staying over every night in the home
  • Providing food and changing water for pets
  • Spending time providing all the love, care and attention pets are accustomed to
  • Taking outstanding photos of daily interactions with pets
  • Putting out and bringing in wheelie bins
  • Watering plants and gardens
  • Cleaning litter boxes

Would you like to spend your days playing with dogs?

About the position:

We are looking for people with experience handling multiple dogs to take small groups out on location for an adventure. You will be responsible for walking, playing, exercising and interacting with dogs while keeping them safe and secure in your care.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Driving to client’s homes, collecting dogs and taking them out to play
  • Providing food and changing water
  • Bathing them (if required) when they get muddy
  • Spending time providing all the love, care and attention dogs need
  • Taking outstanding photos of your adventure

Is there room in your home for friendly pets?

About the position:

We are looking for people to care for dogs in their own home. You will need to have a securely fenced, private garden. It’s preferable there are no other pets in the home, if there are, they need to be extremely friendly and sociable. This arrangement would not suit homes with small children for safety reasons.

We are looking for people who either:

  • Work part time
  • Work from home
  • Are home-makers
  • Are retired.

If you spend no more than 4 hours away from home during the day and there is room in your home for a temporary furry family member, we’d love to hear from you.

The role of a doggy homestay host:

  • Spending the majority of your time in your home with the pets during the day
  • Staying over every night in your home with the pets
  • Providing food and changing water
  • Spending time providing all the love, care and attention pets are accustomed to
  • Taking outstanding photos of daily interactions
  • Planning exciting outings

Please ensure you agree to all of the following terms and conditions pertaining to the position you are applying for before starting your pre-application:

Applicants for all positions will need to:

  • Be at least 18 years old,
  • Commit to our ethos of being there for clients whenever they need us and never letting them down,
  • Be committed to providing exceptional customer service and an extremely high standard of client care,
  • Be absolutely passionate about pets and have experience dealing with a variety of companion animals,
  • Be responsible, mature, professional, extremely dependable and have plenty of common sense,
  • Be exceptionally organised and have an eagle eye for detail,
  • Be able to work well independently and follow client instructions to the letter,
  • Have a deep respect for client confidentiality, never inviting anyone on visits, conveying client information to a third party or sharing photos on social media,
  • Meet with clients in your own time to ensure you are a good fit and to go over all aspects of the pet’s care,
  • Be physically fit, able to walk long distances, climb stairs, crouch, bend and lift heavy dogs in and out of cars,
  • Be willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays,
  • Have a reliable vehicle with a full license as you will use your personal vehicle to transport pets,
  • Have a smart phone with data as you will be required to submit reports to pet owners on completion,
  • Have a computer with Internet access at your home,
  • Be willing to submit to a background check,
  • Be willing (and able financially) to take the time to build up to a full time schedule in your area.

For this position you will need to:

  • Be at least 18 years old,
  • Be the homeowner or have written permission from the landlord to board pets in the home,
  • Have no small children in the home for safety reasons,
  • Have no other pets in the home unless they are extremely sociable and do not take exception to having other pets around,
  • Have a completely secure (fenced and gated) garden that is suitable for dogs,
  • Provide at least one one hour outing per day,
  • Be able to commit to spending no more than 4 hours away from home during the day,
  • Spend at least 8 hours overnight in the home,
  • Commit to our ethos of being there for clients whenever they need us and never letting them down,
  • Be committed to providing exceptional customer service and an extremely high standard of client care,
  • Be responsible, mature, professional, extremely dependable and have plenty of common sense,
